RECYCLE

REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE

REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE

This one seems obvious, but as of 2024 only 43% of households participate in recycling (according to The Recycling Partnership). That means more than half of the population are tossing everything in the trash! Many cities offer free recycling programs that will pick up from your house with the garbage! There are places you can exchange your used aluminum cans and plastic bottles for money - its a win-win!

This is another SUPER easy way to help keep plastics out of our oceans. Not to mention the cost benefit. Buy one made from recycled materials for a nice double whammy!

DONATE

WALK, BIKE, CARPOOL, OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT

This may be the EASIEST way to do your part for the environment… why send your old toys, clothes, appliances, or furniture to the dump when you can donate your unwanted items to people who need them or will repurpose them? Reversely, shopping in thrift stores for clothes or home items as opposed to buying fast fashion/fast consumerism is much more affordable, so, win-win!

WALK, BIKE, CARPOOL, OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT

While cars are very convenient, they add a lot of emissions to the environment. For many of us it is unrealistic to suggest getting rid of our personal mode of transport, however there are still things we can do to cut down our use of our personal vehicles. Walking or biking when the distance is short enough and the weather permits. Public transport to navigate around the city or attend concerts and sports games. Carpooling and public transportation to get to work! That small level on inconvenience can go a LONG way in cutting into smog!

REUSABLE GROCERY BAGS

REUSABLE GROCERY BAGS

This is another very very easy way to do your part for the environment. Keep reusable grocery bags in your car for your store runs! Plastic grocery bags are terrible for the environment. And who wants to keep stuffing them under our sinks to take up space and collect dust?

COMPOSTING

REUSABLE GROCERY BAGS

This one isn’t for everyone, but if you have a garden, composting is a wonderful way to reduce your carbon footprint and provide fertilizer for your plants! It is surprisingly easy to do.
